About The Painting: This painting was used for the first
collector plate created by Matherly. The plate was produced
by The Franklin Mint, as well as, being sponsored by the
National Wildlife Federation. It's popularity was so great
that Matherly was commissioned to do eleven more paintings
consisting of other species of big cats and cubs, making it a
twelve plate series, giving this work of art a tremendous
collecting significance.
Here the renowned artist has captured a delightful interlude
between a mother white tiger and her adorable cub. It is an
enchanting portrait of maternal affection. Only Michael Matherly
could capture this peaceful moment with such compelling
realism.
